The Liszt


Classic Rock revives with a melancholy only to be found with the great such as the late Kurt Cobain or Jeff Buckley, with the drive of Foo Fighters or Queens of the Stoneage, and with classical arrangements that remind of Pink Floyd and the first decade of Motorpsycho. Eclectic, yes, but all in good taste, and always striving to bring back poetic elements into 21st century pop music, without being typed as a retro-band.

Through their music, The Liszt wants to answer the inexplicable craving for the Beauty that lies deep within the human soul. Being straight decendants of the Romanticists, the band loathes the popularisation, commercialisation and democratisation of Art. Musical craftsmanship is considered of paramount importance, yet without falling back into technical fumbling and egotripping.
